Michelle Maggiore

Michelle Maggiore leads transportation business development for Cisco’s Industry Solutions Group. She is a professional transportation engineer with 20 years of experience in performance management and strategic planning for transportation agencies and local governments, most recently applying her background to the deployment of technology in the public sector. At Cisco, Michelle advises public sector customers on implementing technologies to support connected and automated vehicles with a focus on vehicle to infrastructure communications.

Michelle’s academic contributions to the field of transportation include the development and application of decision support analytics to align public-sector investments to regional goals and performance measures. Her methodology for optimizing transportation and technology investments was published by the National Academy of Sciences in NCHRP Report 806, where she served as Principal Investigator.

Prior to joining Cisco, Michelle led US transportation services for IBM. She has advised the Bipartisan Policy Center, the Eno Transportation Foundation, and the US DOT on performance-based transportation and technology investment planning.

Michelle has an MS in transportation engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a BS in civil engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.
